I took a chance last night.  I kept praying I could see my wife and daughter.  I thought I heard a snowplow around 515pm.  I was talking to Heather and walked to the front lobby.  The Best Western FINALLY had a snow removal service out there!!!  I told Heather I was leaving and I would see her tonight.  I RAN to my room and grabbed my stuff and walked at a steady pace to the lobby.  I looked at my vehicle and put my stuff in it.  I said a prayer and started the suv.

The drive…  It was horrible to be nice.  The drive took 2 hours and 50 minutes from start to finish.  I stopped once at Casey’s in Galva for a foot rest and once in Kewanee at Beck’s south for some refreshments.  I got home and was happy and I shed a tear.  I was home and NOTHING would stop me from seeing my wife and daughter.  I tried to open the garage door and realized it was frozen shut.  I was pissed!!! 25 feet away from my girls and the damn door was holding me back.  I said “f” it and went outside and walked around to see Heather and Ava.

When I opened our side door and saw Avalyn smile at me for 15 seconds, I knew it was worth the 2 hours and 50 minutes to see her smile.  I then grabbed Heather and did not let go.  It felt like 5 minutes passed.  They were eating at 820pm and my hunger was gone.  I was hungry to see them.  The next 30 minutes I did not want to be without the girls.

Was it worth the almost 3 hours to get home?  DAMN RIGHT IT WAS!!!  I do not regret anything.   Avalyn’s smile was worth the trip alone.  I have not seen her smile like that in a long time.  In 50 hours, I will be with Heather and Avalyn until Tuesday morning.  I plan on being with the girls 95% of the time.  I will do any thing to stop being the way I was towards the girls.  Ava sat next to me and we watched tv together.  It was very nice of Ava to do that.  Heather, Ava, and I watched TV together and fell asleep in the living room.

Yesterday was February 2nd, 2011.  It was supposed to be a day I hated.  2211 became a day I loved and I WILL NEVER FORGET!!!  It is funny I only ask for help when I am in need and not just to say hi to him.  One day I hope to relearn my beliefs and I hope to teach my family what I learned.

Again, Yesterday was February 2nd, 2011 and it changed my entire life.

In 2009, Heather and I had a beautiful child named Avalyn.  I never thought I would put my girls first.  I even tried not to at first.  My girls became number one in my life.  We never spent any time away from each other until July 2010.  My friend Brian was getting married and we did not feel comfortable leaving Avalyn.  So Heather stayed home and I left on a Thursday to go to Las Vegas.  The first night was horrible.  I was out of shape and just wanted to go to sleep.  I started to really miss them on Friday morning.  I kept thinking I could just leave and it will be ok.  But I fought through until Sunday.  I got back to Kewanee around 3pm and cried when I saw Heather and a sleeping Ava.  I told Heather I would never take a trip without her.

Today is February 2nd, 2011.  I cannot leave Galesburg, IL.  Yesterday, Galesburg got 16+ inches of snow.  Heather said Hughes Auto Sales should shutdown and leave.  I said I would stay and get a hotel room.  One night away from Heather and Ava would not hurt me or would it?  It hurt a lot last night.  I cried when I thought of them.  I kept praying that nothing bad when happen to them.

Again, today in February 2nd, 2011.  I have never felt so helpless.  I am only 40 miles away and I wish I could see both of them.  I would do anything right now to see them.  I have to wait over 24 hours until I see Heather and Avalyn.  I love and miss them so much now.  I am counting down the hours until I get to see them.  Once I get to countdown the minutes, I will start to be happy.  I will be extremely happy when I put a kiss on my wife’s lips and tell her I love her face to face.

I wanted to tell everyone this story.  I have not always been there for my family.  I have been a bad dad.  I am there, but I have selfish and wanted to do things when I wanted to; not when they’re needed to be done.  Like when Ava wants to eat, I want to watch TV.  Heather wants to go to bed at 10pm and I want to stay up and do something else.  I am not going to be selfish towards my girls any more.  I have changed many things since Heather and I have been married in 2005 and I could not be happier.  I now realize how those moments are so special to me.  This Saturday night I will be able to eat dinner with my girls and go to bed early.  I just want to hold Heather and tell her how much I love her and how I will do anything for her.  In fact, I want to do this Thursday and Friday this week and not just on Saturday.  We are both off on Monday and I want to spend the entire day with Heather and Avalyn.

Update: I am going to try and make it home tonight.  I hope this will not be my last blog post ever.

Another and basically the REAL reason behind the switch, we are adding three new shows to the site; Whiskey N’ Waterbeds, Misfits Radio, and Defiant Actions.  I want to expand Section_86 so much that we are releasing shows everyday.  I am in this for the long haul and I love maintaining this project.  What is going on with Vertebreaker!?  Well, we have 4 more shows taped and we will decide what goes on from there.  I am not saying we are done with the VB project, but we are improving the show all around.

I have an Inspiron 6000 Dell laptop.  I use the laptop for work, play, audio/video editing, and gaming.  Recently, I have been having troubles with my sound jack.  Sometimes I will get sound and sometimes I do not.  I was told this is an issue with the i6k’s.   Then last Wednesday, my friggin ATI x300 graphics card failed…  I was not a happy camper.

No biggie, I guess I should look into getting another laptop.  I decided to purchase the m1730 for $2945+fees.  I only paid $1380 for Inspiron 6k, so it is a big deal.  Granted, I did get a $750 in instant rebates, but that is besides the point.  On the m1730 I am purchasing, I am ONLY getting $400 in instant rebates/discounts with $100 credit for the salesman who lied to me.  Oh by the way his name is Brent Reed his email address is Brent_Reed@Dell.com and his extension is 725-**** by calling (800) 289-3355.  He said he could get the price “out the door” for $2905, but I HAD to act NOW.  I decided to go ahead and do the deal, but he was off for the next two and the offer expired at 11pm.  Dell’s sales line closes at 9pm.  What a prick!

I called the following day and said I would go ahead and get the m1730 for the price I was quoted on my VOICEMAIL (that will be posted later tonight).  Oh yeah, I gots that shits on tape!  This next representative is  named John Snell and his email address is John_W_Snell@Dell.com and his extension is 725-**** by calling (800) 289-3355…  Why the heck is the extension the name for two people???  I think there is something fishy here.  Any who, I needed to have the laptop “overnighted” and the backpack I purchased sent ground.  I also needed to have BOTH items sent to my work address.  Guess what?  That was the problem…  A simple fix?  NOPE!  The “people” I talked to stated, “There is no way to change the address once the computer has been built.  The items will be sent out on Monday and there is no way to change anything on the order.  You cannot cancel the order at this time either.”  Alright, I get it.  I will receive the laptop on Tuesday then; SWEET!  NO!  You see Dell sends EVERYTHING out ground.  Even if you pay the extra charge for 2 day or next day service, you will not receive the merchandise before the 2-5 day window.

I guess the whole point of the story is not to order ANYTHING over the phone through Dell.  The reps screw the order up every time.  I called to order a set of headphones the week before and they got sent to my work address and not my home address.  How hard is it to understand what I am saying to you!  I guess the moral of the story is Dell needs to have American’s who speak English as a first language.  I have been treated so bad for spending almost $3000.  I used to recommend Dell for their products and costumer support.  As of today, I cannot ever recommend them for anything.  If you are in the market for a new laptop, I would suggest HP.  They are cheaper and just as good quality.  FUCK DELL!!!  I will NEVER purchase another computer for your company.

I was also able to purchase most of the items to finish the basement. I purchased the plans for the bar (which is friggin awesome!), miscellaneous items hanging on the walls, dry lock paint, custom table plans, extra lightning, and the epoxy for the basement floors. One thing I learned about being a home owner is the extra responseability in taking care of your property. I know we need to finish the upstairs, but we are so close in finishing the basement. Well, I guess we are almost done with the kitchen (for now at least). Plus I am dreading the day we finish the floors on the lower level;lol!

Finally, I mowed the lawn (which was WAY over due) and headed over to my aunt and uncle’s to drop off Mike’s birthday card. All in all, I was able to complete and bunch of tasks. SHIT!!! I forgot to hit up the PO Box…

Finally; Finally, I have some GREAT news!!! Blake from section86.com had his podcast “It Burns When I Pee” reviewed on Bubba the Love Sponge’s show!!! FUDGE YEAH!!! Congrads Blake!!! This is a great step for you and our little project Section_86.

Jeff Hardy did meet with Vince McMahon last night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before Raw started. As a result, Hardy did drop the IC title and has been removed from the Wrestlemania money in the bank match. The next violation will result in his mandatory release from the company. The locker room was informed of Hardy’s pending suspension before Raw started. The Hardy suspension story is getting a lot of media attention as it has been picked up by the Assocated Press.

Here is some more information on his suspension:

- One more violation of the WWE Wellness Policy will result in Jeff Hardy’s mandatory release from the company.

- WWE has officially removed Hardy from the WrestleMania preview and he will not be participating in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

- The WWE locker room was informed of Jeff’s suspension last night before Raw began. Chris Jericho was told he was to go over Hardy and win the Intercontinental Championship.
