Born and raised in Kewanee, IL, Andrew has been all over the state of Illinois. Andrew first moved to Roselle, IL while attending DeVry. While at DeVry, Andrew worked at Marcus Cinemas for 6 weeks and later started working at Pizza Hut in Roselle. After leaving the Chicago area, Andrew decided to move back to Kewanee to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. During this time, Andrew wanted to start a Production company. With his love of the number 86, he decided to start “86 Productions”. Only problem, he did not have the resources.
He decided to improve himself and train to become a manager in the now deceased GKC Theaters. Andrew trained in Bloomington, IL and transferred to DeKalb in 2001. After working for the company for two and half years, Andrew moved back [again] to Kewanee, IL. He wanted to be closer to his girlfriend [wife] Heather. “I really wanted to start 86 Productions, but I had no projects yet. I had to move on for the time being. Back to the theater business.” Andrew was able to help promote Paradigm when they first started. He taped the first show in Lafayette, IL. Live ‘n Loud in Lafayette was the first EVER DVD from 86 Productions.
In November 2003, Andrew started working for Kerasotes Showplace, LLC. Again, the small upstart production company was on hold. In March 2004, Andrew bought the domain 86productions.com. Not only was he on the web, but he was able to put 86 Productions on the map. Andrew started to learn HTML again. He also branched into video editing, but without VCR to VCR technology. Andrew upgraded to Adobe’s Premiere editing software. Video, Photos, and Audio are now parts of 86 Productions. Once all the members from paradigm. got back from Iraq (2004), 86 Productions were back in full force making a site, taking photos, and taping practices and shows. 86 Productions released only one DVD from paradigm.‘s second run, but has been working on and off with a final DVD from paradigm. After the breakup of paradigm., Andrew needed to go in a different direction.
In late 2005, 86 Productions started podcasting. Section_86 is what the site is now named. We started first with a fantasy football podcast and added a wrestling podcast later. Andrew has been working hard trying to get his production company started. Even though this is his first love, it will always be a hobby for Andrew and everyone who helps him with the company. Andrew hosts Off the Mark and Kewanee Sports League. He has found a new love in the world of podcasting. “You can’t beat Podcasting. It is fun and easy to do. All of us here at 86 Productions and Section_86 love getting our voice heard around the world and hopefully we can branch out to spin off podcast shows. I can’t wait to see where this will take us!” What is next for 86 Productions and Section_86? Stay tuned to find out!!!
