Xbox 360 Hacked – Full Read/Write HDD Access

February 16, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

Xplorer360 v0.9: Read/Write access to Xbox 360 HD, Mcard *UPDATED* Beta2
>> Roofus and AngerWound of 360GameSaves.com released a new application to access the Xbox 360 HDD (all 3 partitions), Memcard or dumps of these, with full write support!
From 360gamesaves.com:

Here it is! The highly anticipated release of xplorer360. This is beta software and needs testing. What better way then let you guys find the bugs!

Too many features to list but here are a few:
* FULL Read/Write to 360 HDDs.
* FULL Read/Write to 360 Memory Units.
* Physical and Logical drive access.
* Support for opening of dumps of both devices.
* Backup/Restore dump options.
Xbox-SceneXbox-Scene

Any bugs you may find can please be directed to our forums.
Brought to you by Roofus and AngerWound of the 360GameSaves.com Team!

Be on the lookout for some cool hardware we’ll be making available in the near future as well!

With read and write support to the Xbox 360 harddisk and memcard it means you’ll be able to share gamesaves over the internet, 360gamesaves.com has a gamesaves database and upload script waiting to be used 🙂
You can connect your Xbox 360 HD on your PC via an SATA controller, the memorycard can be connected via USB (see how here or here).
The Xbox360 saves are usually in /content/// of partition3 on your Xbox 360 HD. Xbox 360 gamesaves can be transfered to another Xbox 360 console and profile, but all ‘LIVE achievements’ will be disabled of course (achievements are linked to the LIVE profile). A dumbed down version of xplorer360 made specially for gamesaves manipulation will be released soon which should make it easier for beginners to find their gamesaves.

Also interesting – this tool will allow you to move over your old Xbox 1 gamesaves to your Xbox 360 (they will probably have to go somewhere in /partition3/Compatibility/Xbox1/ or /partition3/H2/), something that was impossible up to now.

But of course it’ll also allow you to navigate the rest of the disc, so you can check out all the stuff located on the drive, like the music stored on your drive or what you downloaded from Xbox LIVE for example (demos, live arcade, themes, videos …).

Note: Before people try to launch crazy ideas again: No this does not allow you to copy retail games (signed for XBOX360DVD media only) to the HD and play them. It’s a tool that gives you access to the Xbox 360 HD and Memcard from a PC, it does not hack/bypass any security.

*UPDATE* BUG: One confirmed bug has been found and can be harmful if not known. Do not attempt to insert a file with the same name into a folder. If the filename already exists, delete it then insert your new one. Look for an updated/fixed build soon.

*UPDATE2* From 360gamesaves.com:
[QUOTE]
With the first batch of bugs coming in, one being a bit problematic. We’ve wrapped all those fixes up into this build. This is beta software and should be used at your own risk until Final versions are available.

*Bug Fixes*
* Off by one error in filename length check fixed
* Recursive delete functions fixed / Delete from tree fixed
* Injection of file with same name fixed. Asks to overwrite

Lisa Rinna vs Stacey Keibler

February 15, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

“Dancing with the Stars” performer Lisa Rinna was a guest on Howard Stern’s show earlier today. Howard Stern thought that Stacy Keibler’s inclusion on the show has ruined “Dancing with the Stars” because she is a dancer who is trained. He thinks that people with dance backgrounds take away the legitimacy of the contest. Stern thinks Stacy is going to win the contest. Stern didn’t attack Stacy personally, he just thinks that she shouldn’t have been allowed to be included in the competition.

Sore Loser… I want Jerry Rice to beat her! I would piss myself.

Valentine’s Day… Why is it stupid?

February 14, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

I posted this last year…

Actually I do like [VDay], but I feel you should not tell your [wife] that you love her once a day. What the hell are you suppose to do the other 364 days a year. I usually do something for Heather in March, because that month really means nothing to us. How about everyone takes a month that means nothing to them and make it their valentine’s day. Smart thing to do biatches!

Why I Hate Wal-Mart

February 13, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

Last night, Heather and I went to Wal-Mart to get a couple of things. We got there and they were REALLY busy. We should have realized that people would be getting gifts the day before VD. Oh well, we might as well get our stuff and get going. We got our stuff and went to the check out. This is why people are fuckin stupid… The “CSM” is calling for lots of help. A customer actually says “that bitch is not doing anything”… Ok… I worked at Wal-Mart and sometimes business picks up. I cannot stand that these mentally stupid people have the audacity to make comments towards the workers… It is the customers fault. That is why I hate Christmas Eve. People have 40 days to get toys and gifts, but there are ALWAYS people doing all the shopping @ 4:30pm when the store closes @ 5pm.

My point of this post is Wal-Mart is the Devil. 97% of customers that Go to WM go there to complain. 92% of WM floor people are just losers who have 3 kids that “WE” pay for… Go to school fuckers.

Final Thoughts on IE 7.0

Halo 2 and HMi

February 9, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

So I started playing Halo 2 last night. A lot of things of changed in the clan. I thought there would only be a couple of us playing… That is not the case. I think there are 25 people in the clan now. What started as 3-4 people, turned into 25 people in just a few weeks. I wish I could play more than just 2-3 times a week, but I have lots of other things going on right now. Between work, my websites, and marriage, there is very little free time. I wish I could just balance it all… It is very hard to do so, but I know I can ALWAYS squeeze a could of games. Now, if I can play World of Warcraft also, my life would be set!

First Thoughts on IE 7.0

February 8, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

I have been using IE 7 for the last few hours. All I can really say is that it is a rip off of Firefox. All they did was steal the Fire Fox “Tabs” and use the same old piece of shit Internet Explorer. I will discuss how I really feel in the next few days.

So, Heather and I had 9 people over for the game tonight. We cooked lots of food and drank a lot of fluids. The party was fun and I enjoyed myself. The game… The game fuckin sucked. We started playing Hold ’em in the 2nd quarter. If we are playing poker, the game SUCKS!!! Not much right now… Just looking foward to the next day… I need some sleep.

Seahawks vs. Steelers

February 5, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

Are you ready for the SUPERBOWL? I am! Every year the Superbowl is another time a bunch of us can get together and watch a good football game. This year… well… I could care less who wins this game. I am going to be cooking some burgers and dogs! Everyone is invited to attend. Go… Ah… Who cares? We are going to be hold ’em if the game sucks. The streak will continue.

“The $200 Billion Broadband Scandal.”

February 3, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

taken from Muni Wireless

I was lucky enough to be able to look over an advance copy of Bruce Kushnick’s new book, “The $200 Billion Broadband Scandal” — it’s a powerful critique documenting the trail of broken promises and misinformation perpetrated by many broadband service providers in order to get favorable treatment, special dispensation, and competition-free access to residents across the United States. One of the most damning indictments, that United States residents have already paid for upgrades to our existing broadband infrastructure — being charged for services never delivered — and not a small amount either, but actually to the tune of $200,000,000,000. When you break it down, that’s roughly a $2,000 refund for every household that’s due for contractual obligations never fulfilled.

Here’s more from today’s official release:

New investigative ebook offers micro-history of Verizon, SBC, Qwest, and BellSouth’s (the Bell companies) fiber optic broadband promises and the consequence harms to America’s economic growth because they never delivered and kept most of the money, about $200 billion.

New York: This is one of the largest scandals in American history. America is 16th in the world in broadband and the US DSL current offerings are 100 times slower than other countries such has Japan and Korea. How did we go from Number 1 in the web to 16th in broadband and falling?

But more importantly, are customers owed $2000 for a fiber optic service they paid for but never received? Did towns and cities, libraries and schools, government agencies, and every residential and business customer subsidize new networks that never showed up?

And did America lose $5 trillion in economic growth, $500 billion annually, because of these missing networks?

Broadband Scandals is a well-documented expose, 406 pages and 528 footnotes. Using the phone companies’ own words (and well as other sources), the book outlines a massive nationwide scandal that affects every aspect of state of the Internet. Not only the web but broadband, municipalities laying fiber or building wifi networks, not to mention related issues such as such as VOIP, cable services, the cost of local phone service, net neutrality, the new digital divide, and even America’s economic growth.

The fiber optic infrastructure you paid for was never delivered.

Vince McMahon getting Charged?

February 2, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

taken from: Wrestlezone.com

More details on the current Vince McMahon tanning situation have been revealed, including comments from a customer that was at the location the same time as McMahon was.

According to an article in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the incident took place on Saturday, not Sunday at the Tanzabar Tanning Salon in Boca Raton. Comments from a customer that was at the scene of the incident, Kelly McMahon (no relation to Vince) commented that Vince was in fact there.

Kelly McMahon stated, “He was nothing but a gentleman. He shook my hand three times.” Kelly claims her and Vince were engaged in a conversation about their shared last name. She also stated that “He showed no signs of coming on to [the employee]. He was talking to me. She was trying to interrupt our conversation.” Kelly also states in the article that she didn’t realize Vince was famous until she later spoke to her husband.

Also in the article it quotes WWE attorney, Jerry McDevitt, who states that Boca Raton Police told him the alleged incident happened on Sunday, and that McDevitt had pointed out to them that Vince McMahon was not in town that day (Sunday). McDevitt did confirm to the Sun-Sentinel that Vince was in town Saturday, and has been a Tanzabar customer in the past.

This is funny.

PS3 CONFRIMED Details

February 1, 2006 By Andrew Hughes Leave a Comment

PS3 will have online service that goes beyond xbox live

PS3 will be a DVR

It will connect with psp

There are alot of games being worked on for it right now in the US (alot more then what people know about)

The final ps3 dev kit is alot faster than they thought (according to the developer)

The ps3 will have an itunes type service to let you download HI DEF movies, music, etc

The Ps3 will take the media center functionality the 360 has even further

PS3 will serve as a location free player for the psp, means you can watch the dvd’s that you have in your psp on your psp (from anywhere in the world), or any other video files you have on your ps3, though this is still only being planned.

PSP will be able to send its files straight to the psp from anywhere in the world, and it can also control its DVR functionalities

Firmware updates will add more functionality, much like with the psp

The Blu Ray Player functionality doesnt cost as much as a stand alone player because the Cell and RSX can take care of alot of the stuff the ps3 will need to do to be able to read the disks

Fall release date for ps3, no release date for online service, but expected to launch w/ the system.

This is getting retarded… Just cancel the system. It is going to cost over $1000 for a fucking system.
